How the Club Began
What started as a small group of neighbours meeting on Saturday mornings has grown into a welcoming community of regular walkers.
In , a handful of Castle Hill residents decided to walk together rather than alone. They mapped local paths, shared coffee stops, and discovered that conversation flows naturally at a walking pace.
Today, the club organises weekly walks across urban streets, forest reserves, and riverside trails. Membership remains open — anyone curious about walking as a social habit is invited to join.
What Guides Us
Inclusion
Every pace and experience level has a place in our group walks.
Respect for Nature
We follow leave-no-trace principles on every route we share.
Open Dialogue
Routes, schedules, and club decisions are discussed transparently with members.
The Ambient Club Cadence
Our shared step counter aggregates daily movement from connected members — a collective number, not a leaderboard.
The Live Sync Counter displays how many steps our club has taken together each day. A small indicator shows how many members are currently out walking. It replaces competitive metrics with a sense of shared momentum.
There are no individual rankings or speed comparisons. The focus stays on community — knowing that others are moving alongside you, even on separate paths.
